Anon: Most institutions won't reimburse membership fees for professional organizations.It's a shame then, that ACM would not charge just $18 more for the general registration and include a SIGACT membership with it -- rather than charging $100 more, the price of a full ACM membership, I think, and not even include a full ACM membership with the registration.
